We built this for Australians who are new to ETFs.
ETF Review is a free, independent resource for Australian investors. We write plain-English reviews of ASX-listed ETFs so you can understand what you're buying before you buy it. No fund manager affiliations, no sponsored content, and no financial advice.
ETFs are actually pretty simple. The information around them isn't always.
The Australian ETF market has passed $210 billion in assets. Thousands of new investors get started every year through platforms like Stake, SelfWealth, and various super funds. A lot of them go in without a clear picture of what an ETF actually costs, how it's taxed in Australia, or what happens when they want to sell.
Most of the information out there is written by the fund managers themselves, or buried deep in a PDS. We wanted to create something different. ETF Review covers the things that actually matter to Australian investors: management costs, tax treatment, franking credits, currency exposure, and how each ETF fits into a real portfolio. We write it ourselves, and no one pays us to say nice things about any product.
We don't tell you what to buy. That's not our job. Our job is to give you clear, honest information so you can make that call yourself.
Four things on the site.
Our editorial independence is non-negotiable.
ETF Review has no commercial relationships with any ETF issuer, fund manager, or financial services provider. Nobody pays us to feature or review a product, and no review on this site has been seen or approved by the issuer before we published it.
We respect the fund management industry and we'd like to work constructively with it over time. But our reviews are written independently and that won't change. If we ever enter into any kind of commercial arrangement with a third party, we will disclose it clearly on the relevant page.
Everything on this site is general information only. It's here to help you learn, not to replace the advice of a licensed financial adviser. If you're making a significant investment decision, please consider your own circumstances first.
